specialise in giant blue marlin fishing charters and operate with 4 boats from Horta Marina on the Island of Faial, Azores.

 
 
Brasilia
- 40’ Blackwatch built in 2005 and custom rigged especially for the giant blue marlin of the Azores. A spacious cockpit, Scoponich chair and one-piece riggers by Rupp along with ample power from twin 450 hp Cummins ‘Diamond Series’. The Blackwatch hull provides a superb ride, excellent manouvreability, comfort and stability, both for running and for working fish.

 

 
 Nola -
37’ Bertram powered by twin Caterpillar 3208 - 375 hp motors. Bertram has produced more convertible sportfishing boats than any other company world-wide. The Bertram hull is famous for its smooth ride in all conditions, is a proven fish raiser and offers spacious, comfortable interior. HD chair and Simrad electronics.






Xácara
- 36’ Hatteras powered by twin 300 hp Cummins B-series motors. Murray Bro’s chair and one-piece riggers by Rupp. The Xacara has gained worldwide recognition for its fishing exploits in the Azores and is the boat that caught the current world record blue marlin on 80lb line.

 
 


 
Makaira
- 30’ Merry Fisher powered by twin 210 hp Cummins B-series motors newly installed in 2009. The hull provides excellent maneuverability and combines a spacious 9m2 cockpit, HD chair, Lee riggers and Simrad electronics.
The Makaira is well suited to light tackle fishing and may be available for ‘bare-boat’ charter to visiting professional crews on request.

 


 
Standard tackle
on all boats is 130lb class with Shimano Tiagra reels, custom rods by Biscayne or Pat Brian and Sufix or Momoi topshots on dacron. Lighter tackle is available on request.

Marlin fishing season in the Azores is during the months of July, August and September.

Tuna fishing season in the Azores is during the months of May and June.

Charters depart by 09.30 - tackle, food and drinks
supplied on board.

Brasilia Fishing Charters operate out of Horta Marina on the Island of Faial, Azores.

standard daily charter rate: Euro. 1,100.00 per day

Makaira
standard daily charter rate: Euro. 900.00 per day

Charters depart by 09.30 and return to the marina by 18.30 (9 hours at sea) - tackle, food and drinks
are supplied on board.

Additional charges:
